2012 Hallettsville Expo Press Release

7th ANNUAL  TDHA 
HALLETTSVILLE  HUNTING  EXPO
Sat 9-7 & Sun 9-5        March 3-4, 2012

TDHA Wild Hog Round Up – LEA BBQ Cook Off – Vendor’s Market Place – Music Fest

Dog hunters from across the state will bring in their catches of the weekend in hopes of winning big money and prizes.  Charitable organization, Texas Dog Hunter’s Association, will benefit and use the proceeds for college scholarships, feeding hungry Texans and lobbying efforts in Austin to protect, preserve and promote the rights of all hunting and working dog owners in Texas.

SPECIAL GUEST on Saturday – Jerry Campbell from American Hoggers – signing autographs,     taking pictures and talking Hawgs and Dawgs and Huntin’.

The Expo is expanding this year to include the LEA BBQ Cook Off (free tasting ?), a huge Market Place with over 50 vendors/sponsors, attractions for the whole family and several Texas musical entertainers.  There will be several raffles going on during the weekend including guns and other donated products.   There will be something for the entire family.

Currently there are booths for hunting outfitters and accessories, fishing guides, guns, taxidermy, dog food, a number of hawg & dawg accessories, jerky, night lighting, jewelry, trucks & autos, tractors and buggies, knives, camo caps and apparel, antiques, crafts, toys, duck calls, blinds feeders, a real western artist and on and on…

Musical guests will include The Accordion Cowboy- Chris Rybak, The Trevor Cobb Band and Scott Brunner Band – all with Hallettsville ties and followings. Attractions will include the Victoria Zoo exhibit and Petting Zoo, the Splatterblast Paint Ball Target Trailer and the Lone Star Bow Hunter’s Association’s Archery Shoot.

Admission to the event is $5.00 with children 12 and under free. There is no charge for the activities inside. Schedule for the weekend will soon be released.
